| Through some experiences lately I ask the question are people too jaded. I ask myself lately am I "guilty by association"? For me I move through life believing that people are generally good people. Kind, generous, and open. I'm not saying that people are naive. Maybe it's my generation, my city, or me. For myself the conversation I had made me feel I was the same as every other guy without them even knowing who I am. Not even asking what's ticking in my head. Yeah I like sports, I gawk at a pretty face, I like cars, and etc. But that doesn't make the same as the other guys. I'll admit I'm venting right now. But curiosity makes me ask if anybody else is finding that people (okay yes I admit I mean woman but this question can apply to other situations) are jaded.

Thanks so much for posting a topic though. I think women can definitely be jaded. But on the flipside, so can men (obviously). I think you've a right to be upset if someone stereotypes before giving you a chance to share your individuality. Whether you're a guy or girl, no one deserves that kind of injustice. It's ignorant to think that people "are all the same"--we've all been raised in different environments, with different values etc. --so how can we stereotype each other? I guess in an ideal world, no one would allow themselves to get 'jaded' to the point of being judgmental. However, I guess we live in an imperfect world, don't we?
I'm sorry to hear you've experienced something like that, Yags. I hope you've learned a lot since then and maybe turned some 'scars into stars' from it all!
