This is where faith comes into play. Christians believe they have God-inspired doctrines and believe the the Bible was compiled "under the influence" of God. Of course Christians have to have faith that the compilers of the Bible were blessed and led by God to include those specific books. Otherwise, yes, ANYONE could have picked and chosen books to compiled a very biased and skewed Bible!
Yes, the Bible has specific, chosen books included in it, and yes, these are the specific books that are the basis of Christianity. It's no secret that the Bible is exclusive to some other books that weren't included.

the Bible was compiled the way it was intended. Christians are (or should be) aware of this, and can still have full faith in Christ.
